Wow, Camp Raj Yog has been in the spot light lately. Our 2nd Annual Fundraising Dinner was a success raising over $13,000 followed by a three day tour to the Cariboo (Northern BC) where another $3500 was raised along with a single donation of $12,000 that will provide us with HOT showers at the camp!

So many thanks go out to ALL those who have given generously to this project. Your energy and commitment to this project is paving the way!

Upcoming events include:

• Khalsa Men's Camp ~ August 5-9th, 2009.   An fun and relaxing time to spend with your brothers in the heart of nature.
  
• Khalsa Ladie's Camp ~ August 12-16th, 2009. Gather together as women and celebrate the nurturing embrace of your sisters all in the heart of nature.

Hundreds showed up at Grand Taj Banquet hall on for Camp Raj Yog's second annual fundraising dinner.

Some of the highlights of the evening for all was the exhilarating exhibition of Gatka skills presented by the Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akhaara troupe from Surrey, complete with clashing swords, axes and a display of various weapons used by traditional Sikh warriors. The angelic voices and harp performed by Mirabai Ceiba and Nirinjan Kaur soothed and captivated the guests and made them melt with meditative music. Read more HERE.

Hot Water for Camp Raj Yog

Camp Raj Yog is growing and in order to provide the comforts of home to all the camp participants and to groups that rent the camp, we are installing hot water in our showers. The heating source will be generated from burning wood logs that will be salvaged in the area in a Bio-Heat outdoor furnace. It is envisioned that this furnace will provide enough heat for the future growth of the camp allowing our main teaching hall/kitchen to be heated year-round. Trees for Camp Raj Yog from 2009 KY Teachers

The newly graduated 2009 Kundalini Yoga teachers donated $1000 worth of trees to Camp Raj Yog to be planted this summer. This gift will allow Camp Raj Yog to grow an orchard of plenty that will be enjoyed by all those who come to visit and particpate in activities on the land. Thank You Teachers!
